One of the authors of the bill, Rep. John Sweeney, R-N.Y., said, “What we are exposing today is a brutal, shadowy, predatory shameful practice that borders on the perverse. It reflects on our culture. It reflects on our priorities.”
Mr. Sweeney, I’m guessing that you’ve never toured a factory chicken, or hog farm, nor seen how they are slaughtered.
Oh, wait, I forgot that you probably don’t care much about the horses either, but about winning support from the horse racing folks in your district so that you can get re-elected this November.
The fact that Congress is wasting it’s time on this when we have so many other important issues to deal with, like a gay marriage amendment, and flag burning (I’m being really sarcastic) underscores the fact that you should be sent home this November and that we need some real leaders, not politicians, running the government.
